A brilliant man I thought him
Perfect in every way
A knight in armor was he
But gentle as the rain
He walked with sword and strength at hand
A beacon yet at night
And dare deceive him, the sword can
Bring justice to light
An intelligent man I knew him
By the way that he would talk
He rode on for several days now
But tired not was his walk
He crafted a talent for saving the harmed
He knew his mission
And never was he ever alarmed
For he always listened
He stayed only for a few days
In the town I call my home
I needn’t be rescued
But I felt ever so alone
And I was sighing and crying and grieved
But he did not even notice me
And as I stood there in my time of need
I prayed that he would see
Eventually I ran up to him
I pleaded great by his side
And though he kept right along
His love he couldn’t hide
And I kept calling and falling to my knees
And he just kept riding down the lane
And I felt better as he came back to me
I knew I wouldn’t be the same
He took my hand into his
Said he would give up the sword
And though I hated it for all others
He kept always to his word
And insightful, delightful was he
And I could not compare
To the sweet gentleman that followed me
And our lives we would share
